Often the more common herbs that are added to food get overlooked for their healthful benefits. Take basil for instance. This is a very popular herb used to flavor foods, but it’s also linked to stimulating hair growth and is naturally anti-inflammatory. Basil leaf infused oil is also a great addition in healing salves and “boo boo” creams.
This herb is food grade so it can be used in either beauty care recipes or used internally in cooking, etc. If you wish to extract the benefits of basil leaf into your beauty care recipe, simply steep this herb in either oil or water, very much like you would a tea. Once it has “released” then strain and use the retained portion inside your formulations.
