Description
Calendula Flowers, or often called the pot marigold flower, is used by herbalists for its numerous skin-benefits which include anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to assist the body with healing wounds and burns. These flowers can generally be used by all skin types.
To make an infused oil with calendula flowers, place about 1/4 cup dried flowers into a clean jar and cover with a good quality oil (olive oil works well). Allow to sit for at least 3 weeks, strain then use the oil in your healing salves or lotion recipes. To use as a “tea” simply steep in boiling water, strain and either use the calendula water as a drinkable tea or as the water portion in your body care recipes.
