Description
Unlike commonly known alcohols such as isopropyl, which is often drying to both skin and hair, cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that actually adds tremendous conditioning properties into a formulation. When used in hair or skin care products, it will lend a silky smooth texture that will help lock down moisture to either the hair follicle or onto skin.
Cetyl alcohol also acts as a co-emulsifier to help stabilize and thicken emulsions.
Useage ratio: 1% to 30%
