Dandelion Root C/S.
This is, indeed, the root of the common dandelion flower. Though you may not want them in your yard, the dandelion has proven to be a wonderful healing plant both internally and externally. It contains vitamins, A, C, and D, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, copper, and calcium.
Herbalists use this herb to make a poultice to treat external skin abscesses and sores. To use Dandelion Root C/S within your recipes you will need to steep this root in either warm water or oil until it has released its benefits. Then strain the juice off, discard the herb and use the “juice” in your recipe as either part of the water or oil content.
