Holiday Lotion Making Kit – Create Your Own Lotions!
This kit will supply you with all the ingredients needed (except distilled water) to make your own all-natural lotion that you can customize to fit your own unique skin issues. This lotion is slightly thinner than our shea butter cream kit, but by no means is it a seriously thin lotion – as it still holds a full-bodied texture. It is also very easy to change the finished feel of this lotion as well as the skin healing benefits, by simply changing the oil types with each batch you make.
People love to receive handmade goods as stocking stuffers or Christmas gifts. With this Holiday Lotion Making Kit you would be able to “check off” a bunch of gifts with only a small investment of time and effort. Our kits also make a fun craft to do with children during their holiday break.
PLEASE NOTE: that for this kit, you will NEED to have a digital kitchen scale that weighs down to 0.1 of an ounce. Teaspoon and cup measurements will NOT work for this recipe. And you should also have some type of good blender, a stick blender is the easiest to use, but you can also use a hand blender, freestanding mixer or Osterizer-type blender.
This kit includes:
- 8 oz. Citric Acid
- 8 oz. Glycerin (veggie based)
- 8 oz. Stearic Acid (veggie based)
- 8 oz. Emulsifying Wax (veggie based)
- 8 oz. Sweet Almond Oil
- 8 oz. Grape Seed Oil
- 8 oz. Apricot Kernel Oil
- 1 oz. Linatural (a non-formaldehyde donor preservative that is naturally derived)
- 1 oz. Gardenia Fragrance Oil
- 1 oz. Christmas Tree Fragrance Oil
- 1 oz. Grandma’s apple pie Fragrance Oil
- 1 oz. Pumpkin Pie Fragrance Oil
- 0.5 oz. Iodopher Sanitizer
- (5) 2 oz. green semi-see thru bottles with flip back dispensing lids
- (5) 4 oz. green semi-see thru bottles with flip back dispensing lids
- Recipe with instructions for making the lotion base
The amount of supplies in this kit will make approximately 128 oz. of lotion (or 4 batches based on the recipe provided). As a bonus, you will have some ingredients left over which can easily be used in other lotion recipes found online, create your own or simply purchase more oils to fit your skins needs and make more of this great recipe!
