Description
This Olive Oil Melt & Pour Soap Base is the same as our “castile” melt & pour, except this bar doesn’t contain the titanium dioxide that makes it a white (or a non-see thru) bar of soap. Because castile is made with higher olive oil content, it does produce a slightly less volume of suds, but it still lathers nicely – and Olive Oil Melt & Pour Soap Base is extra kind and gentle to the skin!
We do not use surfactants or chemicals in our melt & pour bases. No SLS here! This is a huge benefit for your sales if you intend to sell your soap creations, as customers are becoming aware of the skin allergies associated with many surfactants that are being put into personal care items.
A few additional items to consider when purchasing melt & pour bases:
* Molds … for molding your soap.
* Colorants …. for coloring, of course! You can use iron oxides, ultramarines – or check through our vast botanical additives and look for powders that will “bleed” color into your soaps. Most listings will give a brief explanation on how to use them as colorants. If you have a question – always feel free to email us.
* Scents – If you want your soap to be all-natural, check out our essential oil list. If you don’t mind synthetic scents that smell great, check out our fragrance oils.
Soaping has never been so easy!!
Gluten-free!
Ingredients: Olea europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Elaeis guineensis (Palm) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Purified Water, *sodium hydroxide, Sorbitol, Sorbitan oleate, and Oat protein.
*Please note that when soap is made by natural methods, you MUST use sodium hydroxide. There just isn’t really any other way to make a “soap.” Once the bars have been made, sodium hydroxide is no longer found in them, due to the reaction it made with the oils to create “soap.”
