Description
Polysorbate 80 (ps80) is a vegetable-derived, nonionic surfactant used to emulsify carrier oils into water, with the intent of creating a lotion consistency.
Polysorbate 80 is also used in the manufacturing process of bath bombs, and blooming bath oils. By mixing this ingredient into your formulation base, the oils will disperse into the tub water, and will not “float to the top.” This allows the user a more hydrating experience, as the oil will be able to stick to all surfaces of the skin, not just the parts of the body exposed to the top layer of the tub water.
