This medicinal flower is used to treat a wide variety of issues. For internal use, it helps with PMS-related issues and premenopausal issues. Some studies have shown that this flower can help reduce hot flashes as well as slow down bone loss due to osteoporosis. This is, in part, due to the isoflavones that this plant contains as it closely resembles the acts of estrogen in a woman’s body.
Do not take Red Clover Blossoms internally if you are pregnant or nursing.
For external use, this flower can be steeped in hot water and used in lotions and healing salve recipes. It has been effectively used in creams for psoriasis and in salves to help reduce infection and skin inflammations.
