Description
Tangerine Butter is produced from the cold-pressed oil extracted from the peels of fresh tangerines, then infused into a vegetable oil base – giving it amazing texture! It contains high levels of Vitamin A, which have been shown to be an effective treatment for oily prone skin, especially those who suffer from acne. Tangerine oil is also noted in aromatherapy for its stress-relieving benefits. Thus, the addition of this butter to night cream or massage creams will add that added benefit. As with all citrus oils, it’s highly cleansing and toning.
Please note that this butter holds a deep orange color and smells of fresh-cut tangerines. Its texture tends to be softer than many other butters, especially in the summer, though it still does hold its form. If you are purchasing this item during the summer months, and it arrives to you in a semi-liquid form, simply refrigerate it until firm. Unless your house is extremely warm, it will stay in its solid form once removed from the refrigerator.
The suggested usage ratio is 3%-100%. It can be used in all manner of cosmetics or straight on the skin.
Because this Tangerine Butter contains citrus oils, it can be a photosensitizer. Wearing it out in the direct sunlight for prolonged amounts of time might cause a skin reaction or sunburn. When worked into formulations, we feel this generally isn’t a huge issue but for labeling purposes you might want to add that to your product – if it’s designed to be sold.
