There are five grades of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil: “Extra” is the most floral, then comes grade I, II, III. As you work down to grade III the scent moves from most floral to more earthy scented with hints of floral. The grades don’t denote quality, it’s just a grading system for scent value. The fifth grade is called “complete” such as our Ylang Ylang Essential Oil Complete, which is a blend of all the grades or more accurately a whole distillation process.
This sweetly exotic oil is both sensual as well as strongly floral. Believed to hold aphrodisiac properties, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil Complete is an excellent scent to add to “romance” or “mood-setting” products.
Many herbalists use Ylang Ylang for calming nerves and promoting good sleep. This oil also holds skin-soothing benefits for minor irritations such as insect bites.
As with all essential oils, never apply them directly to the skin without first properly diluting in a carrier oil. Some people cannot use certain types of essential oils. Please research well any EO before using.
