Please note that this cream is preserved by a naturally derived preservative system. We use the broad-spectrum preservative “Linatural” which extends the shelf life to at least 12 months. Linatural is a broad-spectrum preservative, that is non-formaldehyde donating. It’s effective against gram negative pathogens, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. Linatural is comprised of the last three elements inside our ingredient list (above).
We manufacture all our lotion base at the time it’s ordered, this ensures that your lotion is fresh and holds the longest shelf life possible. By adding other ingredients such as aloe vera juice or other waterborne products, you may shorten the shelf life of this product. Your own testing of a revised shelf date would then need to be made. If you are ordering the unscented version and decide to scent it yourself: essential and fragrance oils will not affect the shelf life, in fact, essential oils could slightly help strengthen the life of this product. Please use this lotion base within a year of purchasing for the most optimal skin benefits.
