This Turmeric Root Powder makes a wonderful natural colorant to cold process and melt & pour soap recipes. There is evidence that this powder is highly anti-inflammatory, as civilizations from the past and present, used this herb topically for inflammation. Some websites claim this herb has been scientifically proven to be as strong as Motrin.
To use in cold process recipes, add 1 teaspoon to either the lye solution while it’s still hot and before adding to the oils, or add at trace right before you pour into the molds (for a 5lb. batch of soap).
For melt & pour soap, add a small amount to warm glycerin and then add back to your melt soap stock, drop by drop until the color is achieved.
