Papaya Leaf C/S contains a high amount of naturally occurring vitamin C, calcium, and beta carotene. They have been used as a soap replacement, and in wound care due to their antibacterial nature. To use make a concentrated tea and use the retained juice as a compress. It won’t clean like our version of soap does, however, it does clean … just on its own terms.
I’ve also read that in Germany (and probably elsewhere), they add papaya leaves to water for 1 day – strain and use the juice to naturally ward off garden insects by applying to the plants.
Infuse this Papaya Leaf C/S directly into your oils intended for healing salves, using the method of your choice – then strain out the herb. You can also use this herb directly in the tub by adding it to a muslin bag (so the tub doesn’t get messy) – toss the bag into the tub and soak away. Consider mixing other skin healing herbs into your blend as well.
For internal benefits, papaya leaf is used to rid intestinal worms. Use caution when taking this product internally, it also possesses a highly laxative nature.
