Description
Calcium Lactate is the calcium salt of lactic acid. The salts of lactic acid are used in cosmetics and personal care products as astringents, buffering agents, and keratolyic agents. Lactic acid is a naturally occurring compound that belongs to a class of acids called Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs).
When calcium lactate is blended with sodium alginate, they cross link and form a soft squish gel known as spherification.
This product is food grade.
