Echinacea Herb C/S is often taken internally in the form of capsules or tea, in an effort to stave off the common cold. Many people find that taking Echinacea at the first sign of illness they are able to kick the cold faster or keep it from getting worse. Some take it on an “on again, off again” cycle, to keep their immune system strong against an onset of the common cold.
For topical application, Echinacea Herb C/S can be reduced in water or oil and used within your formulations to help treat skin abscesses, mild wounds, eczema and psoriasis. To use this way, we recommend steeping the herb in water or oil, very much like you would a tea designed for drinking. Once the herb has released into the water or oil, strain and use the juice as part of your recipe formulation.
Regarding the potency of an herb’s “leaf” or “root” — its noted that the root is generally stronger than the leaf.
