Our vegan-friendly Keratin Protein is a unique, water-soluble additive that provides your finished formulation with a blend of up to 20 amino acids.
Keratin found in store-bought shampoos, lotions and creams are often animal derived, but this product is from a NON-GMO, vegetable extraction process. It has the ability to strengthen and enhance the elasticity of individual hair strands. When added to hair care formulations, we noted it reduces “fly away” hair syndrome and produces a glowing shine.
This Keratin Protein can be added directly into your water phase. We’ve tested it in lotions, shampoos, conditioners, we simply love it!
Please note: This product does possess the strong odor associated with keratin products. It is, however, less smelly than animal derived keratin. Color: medium to dark brown. Texture is comparable to water. Use at a ratio of up to 5% of the water content of your recipe. Add once your formulation is below 105 degrees (F). External use only.
