Tea tree oil is obtained from a shrub-like tree native to Australia. It is one of the most popular of essential oils because it holds so many skin healing benefits. It’s a strong, yet gentle antiseptic and disinfectant which can be worked into a recipe for prolonged benefits with continued use.
Tea Tree Essential Oil, Conventional, is often used in creams and ointments designed for the feet, because of its unique ability to combat athlete’s foot, toenail fungi, and the common wart. It quickly penetrates the skin or nail, showing a visible difference after just one use. It also holds anti-dandruff properties, making it a good addition to any shampoo or hair conditioner formulations. Please note, that tea tree oil does hold a natural ‘medicinal,’ scent, which will be passed into any formulation you are creating.
As with all essential oils, dilute into carrier oils before applying them directly onto the skin. Keep oils away from eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. Stop using if there is any irritation. Research each oil well before using. Some oils cannot be used by those with certain health conditions.
